COMMON CONDITIONS

Conditions we treat with exceptional care:

Most of our patients visit us with acute or chronic lower back–sciatic pain, cervical syndrome, or carpal tunnel syndrome

Poor neuromuscular coordination and joint dysfunctions gradually lead to degenerative changes in the glenohumeral or acromioclavicular joint, tendinopathies, and frozen shoulder syndrome. There is a solution!
They usually appear later in life due to asymmetric loading of the lower limbs and the compensations that follow. Eight out of ten patients show a gait desynchronization, with one side functioning in a more valgus pattern and the other in a more varus pattern. Unfortunately, both the knees and hips will be structurally stressed over time. We can support you both therapeutically and preventively!
Accurate diagnosis, clear guidance. Whether it concerns your children or grandchildren, prevention is the best form of care. At older ages, we can still prevent premature degenerative changes caused by poor biomechanics. Our goal is to release the secondary compensations.
One in five children today will develop secondary positional plagiocephaly. Up until the fourth month, simple manual techniques can be very effective. If muscular tightness is also present, it is advisable to visit your Osteopath even at a later stage!
Our many years of experience with such cases, along with our collaboration with Dentists and an Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon, provide both diagnostic and therapeutic support. Bruxism and clenching (Painful Masticatory Syndrome) place significant muscular and joint strain on the head and jaw, but they also affect the cervical spine and, consequently, overall posture! We can help you!
At our Center, we can address neurogenic pain caused by peripheral or cumulative compression by improving the mobility of the talus and the other bones of the foot (22 bones – 33 joints!). We provide diagnostic guidance by assessing the foot in relation to the rest of the body and the way it functions. We use a state‑of‑the‑art pressure platform, and when necessary, we can design proprioceptive insoles that are fully customized, using innovative techniques and expertise unique in Greece.

Real Cases. Real Results.

Frequently Asked Questions

Osteopathy was developed in the United States in 1874 and is now recognized by the World Health Organization (WHO) as a form of preventive medicine. It is an established system of clinical assessment and hands-on treatment. Osteopathy provides high-quality care for patients in the treatment of neurogenic, muscular, and joint pain by taking a holistic approach to the human body and addressing the root cause in order to eliminate the symptom.

The first appointment includes a case history, with questions about your medical history, lifestyle, and the symptoms you are currently experiencing.

Osteopaths work with their hands, and treatment often consists of a combination of techniques such as:

  • Joint manipulations and muscle energy techniques to restore muscles and joints
  • Functional techniques to improve tissue health
  • Myofascial release to restore the natural length and structure of tissues
  • Cranial osteopathy techniques, mainly applied to newborns or conditions involving the temporomandibular joint (TMJ)
  • Visceral osteopathy techniques, aiming for example to improve the free movement of the diaphragm, enhancing blood circulation and tissue oxygenation

Ideally, it is helpful to see the area being treated and the surrounding tissues so we can provide effective and safe treatment. In most cases, if we are treating the upper back in women, a sports bra or crop top will allow effective treatment. If we are treating the lower body, you can wear gym clothing. If you prefer to remain fully clothed, your modesty will always be respected.

We will always ask for your feedback during the treatment and work within your comfort zone. After the session, you may feel some muscle soreness in the areas that were mobilized. This therapeutic response can last up to 72 hours and is normal, expected, and a sign that something has changed in your body.
